Last week, Leicester International Institute hosted the "DLI Support - North America Session" sharing event in C07-401. Tang Shengjie, who is planning to study in the US, and the Associate Professor Zhang Xiujuan, who has many years of study experience in the US, were invited to share their experiences about studying abroad.

Tang Shengjie, who is from Mechanical Engineering, has successfully applied to many overseas excellent schools. From analyzing and considering the application conditions, required materials, scholarship subsidy policy, school application and other aspects, he answered students’ questions.

Then Associate Professor Zhang from Chemical Institute（Panjin）shared her experience of studying in US with students from the aspects of cultural differences and scientific innovation. At the same time, she analyzed the feasibility of directly applying for a doctoral degree.

The Study Abroad Sharing Session•North America Special Session had now ended perfectly. Through this sharing activity, the students had a clearer understanding of the application for studying in the United States, and also clarified the direction of their future efforts.
